What happens in a Conscious Breathwork session? The technique involves seamlessly connecting your inhale and exhale without pauses, inducing a non-ordinary state of consciousness. You'll lie comfortably in loose clothing, eyes closed, syncing with your breath's rhythm to activate the psyche's natural healing process. This session incorporates breath, movement, sound, and gentle touch to heighten awareness and facilitate energy flow. Each session, lasting 45 minutes to an hour, culminates in 10-15 minutes of relaxation. Afterwards, a period of stillness allows your body and mind to integrate changes, followed by a discussion on integrating self-practice into daily life. In case you want to have more details of what to expect please feel free to reach out to me at any time.

What kind of physical sensations might occur during my Breathwork session? In initial sessions, strong physical sensations are common, often referred to as "physiological drama." The two primary sensations are tetany, characterized by muscle tension or numbness, and anaesthesia, leading to drowsiness during the session. Tetany, defined as muscle cramping or numbness, is believed to stem from suppressed emotions like fear, anger, or birth trauma, and is associated with the flow of life force or involuntary movements known as Kriya Yoga or mudras. It's important to note that connected breathing doesn't cause these sensations; rather, they arise from pre-existing blocked energy and tension in the body. These manifestations, suppressed by inhibited breathing patterns, can lead to various health issues and aging symptoms. According to Stanislov Grof, faster breathing in breathwork sessions can facilitate the emergence of old emotional and physical tension, offering a unique opportunity for healing. From a medical perspective, tetany may result from the alkalized environment created by faster and deeper breathing during the session. While some participants may not experience any sensations during connected breathing sessions, most overcome muscle cramping and other physical sensations within their initial ten sessions or later, depending on their unique healing needs. There's no right or wrong way to experience Conscious Breathwork, as each session offers a profoundly unique journey into the breather's relevant state of consciousness.
